Chapter 8: Marketing with Pinterest

I am going to be completely honest with you right now my fellow readers. I am not familiar with Pinterest in the slightest. I would say that I tend to be very active on social media outlets. I had always heard that a lot of people were loyal to using the platform and it felt like almost an exclusive club to be apart in. Since reading the chapter I actually started to take a deeper dive into the media outlet and find some things that I would he interested in. Pinterest does a good job of minimizing and focusing on what a person actually wants to see.

Pinterest if one of the best gateways for large brands and companies to get the word out about their certain products or services. Pinterest serves as a portal to brand websites that showcases what people are interested in purchasing or viewing further. Pins are the essential component to what helps people find the products that they desire. Some of these pins such as Recipe, Article, App, and Shopping pins all help consumer and pinners find the right product for them.

For a successful business to thrive on Pinterest they need to be consistent with their content and pins. It is not only improtant to make sure you have the right amount of pins to use for your posts, but it is also important to make sure the pins are actually going  to be useful for a pinner to find what they intended to. The weekend is the best time to pin content. This is most likely due to more people having more time to be on their phones and spend more money on products they want. Pinterest has helped many new brands rise up from nothing due to the help of increased brand awareness and Brand interaction. After using Pinterest for the last couple of days I have seen the appeal of the outlet. Pinterest is a very unique and personal experience for consumers to settle down and take note of what really interests them in purchasing a certain product from their own special brand.
