Extra Deer Meat Please!
Hello fellow bloggers and blog readers. By no surprise I had another stressful week and needed to treat myself to a nice meal. I think that fast food and even just food in general has become my happy place. Whenever I am feeling down I just want to eat my sorrows away. So dramatic. I also just love to eat so I tend to look forward to my meals. Anyway , I had just finished my homework after practice and I wanted so many different kinds of food. For about an hour I was going back and forth on what I wanted to eat. My roommate finally came up with a great idea to go to Chipotle. How could I say no?! We left and headed to Lima and were jamming out in the car due to our happiness of receiving Chipotle in the near future.
Time had gone by and I really was getting hungry. I was scrolling on twitter laughing and reading people's comments to all the funny things going on in the world. I was completely at peace and relaxing in the passenger seat when all of sudden I heard my roommate scream a not so school appropriate phrase and swerve out of the way when I felt a bump throughout the car. We had ran over a deer. Since we were driving so intensly, the car actually was raised on two wheels when we made impact. A few minutes after the incident I was just thankful to be alive as crazy as that sounds. Whenever something like that happens in your life, you tend to think about what is actually important to you. All of the stress I had felt days before had little to no effect on me now. Theses situations actually turned to motivations and outlooks which I can better my life and appreciate the things that I do have more.
I am sorry that you had another stressful week I feel like that too! Sometimes when I am to stress I find something else to do like watching TV or playing a game to get my mind off of studying or doing homework. But I am glad that you are ok and your roommate from hitting that deer. I have been in a accident and it took me awhile to get over it. However, I think it is good that you turned that experience in to an outlook on your life and motivated yourself to appreciate the things that you do have.
ReplyDeleteI feel the same way this last week has been one of my more stressful weeks. Something that helps me when I am stressed is walking the green monster and blasting music. But I am glad that you and your friend are okay.
